In order to transcend the ego, one must start looking at things through an objective lens and find a higher power to believe in. Transcending the Ego, does not mean eliminating the Ego. Our Ego is part of our humanity and serves a purpose. Transcending the Ego involves recognizing the Ego as part of us, but not allowing ourselves to be controlled by that part.
